C.T.C. stands for crushing,
tearing and curling. It refers to the tea granule crushed, torn and curled with
two rollers of different speed in the tea bar processing. The C.T.C. tea is
normally made into tea bags, for
instance Lipton black tea. In recent years,
Yunnan also produces C.T.C green tea,
in addition to the black tea granule.
